On the one hand, of course, it is the optimal bedding and positioning or fixing of components. No less important, however, is the damping of vibrations (NVH). Center Bearing

The metal-reinforced, patented center bearing from ETM Dynamics is characterized by an extremely compact design. It enables precise positioning of the cardan shaft in the body and ensures the mobility of the cardan shaft in the axial direction.

The rubber rebate minimizes the transmission of vibrations and, in conjunction with the axial stops, acts as an integrated restoring function of the overall system. Radial stops reliably protect the rubber rebate from overload in the radial direction. The rubber compound is optionally made of e.g. NR, NBR, EPDM or HNBR. 

  • Enables precise positioning and excellent tunable elastic mounting
  • Dampens vibrations effectively and reliably
  • Reduces wear by compensating for misalignments of the drive train, e.g. during starting and braking processes
  • Avoids noise from higher-frequency vibrations with small amplitudes (e.g. from shaft imbalances, universal joint kinematics and bending natural frequencies)

Auxiliary Unit Bearing

The auxiliary unit bearing developed by ETM Dynamics for the automotive industry dampens vibrations of compressors particularly efficiently.

It contains a base bracket and rubber springs and can be installed in no time at all: The first step for this is to mount the bracket on the car and fix it with the fasteners. Then the compressor is mounted on the bracket and secured with nuts.

Engine Mount

With link elements that operate according to the tensile force principle, compressive forces can also be transmitted through clever design of the flanges. These tension-compression bearings are characterized by: 

  • Use of standard link elements
  • Low flexural and transverse stiffnesses
  • Flexible connectivity options
  • Low weight

Alignment System

The alignment system developed by ETM Dynamics especially for the automotive industry enables an oscillating longitudinal and rotary movement between the cardan shaft and the transmission journal. Its cardanic mobility is in the range of small deflection angles. Moreover, it is completely maintenance-free.

The inner sleeve of the alignment system is made of plastic and is fitted onto the gear journal (clearance fit). The fitted rubber is available in different shore hardnesses. The metal outer bushing is pressed firmly into the flange bore (positive fit).

The alignment system is perfectly matched for use in the system with flexible discs. The tasks are clearly distributed: While the flex disc transmits the power, the alignment system guides the system.
